Federico Commandino (1509-1575) was an Italian mathematician, humanist and printer, one of the greatest translators of the works of the great mathematicians of antiquity. He is also famous for providing a demonstration for the determination of the centre of gravity of the paraboloid of rotation mentioned by Archimedes.

The frieze crowning the walls, classically tripartite, is composed of the rhythmic alternation of 16 Virtues, painted in the lunettes, and sensual female herms in stucco.
The choice of a colour palette in soft pink tones, on the vault of what will be your bedroom, gives the room a silent, classical beauty, which the rigorous mirrors of the wall bases reverberate.
Finally, what you might not expect, a bathroom suspended over the street, this is the ‘Balcone della Vita’, one of the most photographed corners of Urbino.
